What is my username and password for Blackboard?

You will use your Patriots account to log into Blackboard. Your Patriots account is also used for access to POPS, student email, and the open computing labs.

If you are a new student and have not used your Patriots account before, you can use the "activate your account" link on the Blackboard homepage to set a new password and access the system.
For the protection of your identity, NEVER give your password to ANYONE, even the Patriot Email or Blackboard Administrator.

I am a new student, but will not be taking classes until the next semester. I try to log onto Blackboard, but it says that my username and password are incorrect.

Student Blackboard accounts are loaded when Blackboard courses are created prior to each semester. If the course you registered for is not yet in the system, your account may not be loaded yet. We use a file from the Register's Office of current enrollment to create the Blackboard accounts. This file is downloaded and updated daily.

How do I change my password in Blackboard?

You will not need to change your password for Blackboard since you are using your Patriots username and password. There is a password change option which you may see, but this will not affect your account.

I forgot my password. What can I do?

Send an email to itsupport@patriots.uttyler.edu with your full name, student ID, and birthdate.
