Warning Before attempting to setup Patriots E-mail on Apple Mail you MUST be able to login via the web

Step 1

Open Apple Mail, then select Preferences from the Main Dropdown at the top of the screen.

Step 2

At the bottom left hand side of the preferences windows click the plus symbol

Step 3

Enter your full name, Patriots E-mail Address and Password. Then click "Continue"

Step 4

Under Account type Select "IMAP". Then enter Patriot E-mail description box. Next fill in the incoming server information (pod51000.outlook.com). After than type your ENTIRE Patriots e-mail address into the User Name box and put your password in the password box. Once everything is filled out, click "continue".

Hint Make sure your username contains @patriots.uttyler.edu

Step 5

In the Outging Mail Server Dialog type "SMTP" for the Description. In the outgoing mail server box type "pod51000.outlook.com". Check the box that says "Use Authentication" and enter your entire patriots e-mail address into the username box and your password in the password box. Then click "Contiunue".

Step 6

You will now see a summary of all the information that was previously entered. Make sure that it matches what is displayed below keeping in mind that the Full Name, E-mail Address and User Name fields will contain your information. Once this is done click "Create"

Step 7

Now you will see your patriots e-mail account under the accounts list. You can go ahead and close the preference screen and return to the main mail screen.

Step 8

Now your patriots e-mail account will show up in the left column on the mail screen. Enjoy!
